Danson Park Fireworks FAQ’s

Q - I have a young baby as well as toddlers, do I have to pay for them all?
A - NO - we do not charge for very young children. As a rule we regard any child 3 and under to be a baby and they will be admitted free of charge.

Q - How young do you have to be to buy a Childs ticket?
A - 4 to 14 are regarded as children as long as accompanied by an adult. There are no children’s tickets available on the night so please purchase in advance

Q - Where can we park free of charge?
A - All of the surrounding roads will be subject to parking restrictions, therefore there is nowhere in the vicinity of Danson Park where you will not have to pay. Please note that parking wardens and tow trucks are on duty so do not be tempted to “chance it “. There is very limited parking via Danson Lane which will be charged at £10 per car in addition to your entry fees.

Q - If there is no easy parking how do we get there?
A - Danson park is served by major bus routes and is a 15 minute casual walk from both Welling and Bexleyheath train stations

Q - Is there disabled parking available?
A - Yes disabled parking is available and charged at £10 per car in addition to entry fees. You must e-mail us your details in advance and we will give you instructions for the evening. Please note that only disabled badge holders who have contacted us in advance will be able to use the disabled parking area.

Q - Are there disabled facilities?
A - Yes, in addition to the pre-arranged disabled car parking, we provide disabled toilets and a wheelchair friendly area on the lake jetty. First aiders and stewards are on site to help at all times if needed.

Q - How long does the display go on for?
A - The display starts at 8pm prompt and lasts approx. 25 minutes

Q - I know that Danson Park Fireworks is a massive event – is it safe?
A - as with all large public events we advise you to be cautious with valuables etc; however there will be, as always, a very strong Police presence in addition to stewards and security. St John’s Ambulance are on site for medical challenges and we work very closely with all agencies and emergency services to ensure that Danson Park Fireworks remains the safest and most family friendly charitable display in the South East

Q - I have bought too many tickets, can I get a refund?
A - Sorry, no refunds for any reason, although you can have course sell them to somebody else

Q - Can I sell things on the night?
A - NO – unless you have a contract with Welling Round Table to trade within the park you will not be allowed to trade. Any traders outside of the park and surrounding areas will be dealt with by the Police and Council Enforcement officers

Q - Where does all the money you take go?
A - Once Welling Round Table have paid all of the expenses incurred for the event , all remaining money goes into our Charitable Trust and is used to help the community , mainly locally.
